To check out an item from the Library, all you need is your I.D. Card, and to know you or your sponsors Unit and Company or Work Place and Phone Number.
The Lifelong Learning Library is open 7 days a week Mon - Fri 8:30 am- 8:00 pm,
Sat/Sun 10:00 am-6:00 pm Closed Holidays.
You may have 4 items out per person listed on your record. Videos/DVD's are limited to three out at one time.
Books go out for 3 weeks at a time. Books on the bestseller list go out for 2 weeks. Videos/DVD's may go out for 3 days, with the exception of instructional videos or boxed sets, which go out for 3 weeks. CD's, language tapes, cassettes, and Audio books may be checked out for 3 weeks.
The Library has 15 computers for research and Internet plus 1 10 min express computer. The computers are hooked up to a colored and laser printer. There is also a scanner and a typewriter available.
The Library has a colored and black & white copier at no charge, but we limit the copies to 15 a day. We do not run military copies for units.
The Library has a FAX Service, the number is (760) 830-4497 and is on 24 hours a day.
There is a television set with a VCR and DVD available in the library for your use.
Newspapers and magazines are available to read in the library.
Telephone books from Verizon are here for many parts of Southern California.
The library has a professional reading section for the books on the Commandant's Reading List.
The Library has Children's Programs every week.
- Lap Time (ages 0-2) Wednesdays from 1030 - 1100
- Story Hour (ages 3-5) Tuesdays from 1030 - 1130
