Frontline EOM July 2011
Mid Level EOM July 2011
She loves working at MCCS, and it runs in the family, as both her mother and father work here as well. The most challenging aspect of her job? Trying to convince people that 29 Palms is ok! “When people check in I explain; we’re in the middle of nowhere, close to everywhere, and your duty station is what you make of it.” Three weeks away from a BA in child development, the mother of 16 and 10 year old boys loves spending time with her family, reading and being part of the drama department at her church. As a matter of fact, she dreamt of becoming a actress. But for now Hollywood will have to wait, she’s got people to help here! Frontline EOM September 2011
Although he accepts it proudly, it would be hard to top the pride (and joy) he feels from the other first in his life; his first grandchild born on November 23. The single father of three says everything he does is for his kids, and is happy to add his grandson onto the list of things that motivate him to do his best at MCCS and in life in general. He hopes to set an example for them, that working hard and doing the best that you can do does pay off. Congratulations Dean! Mid Level EOM September 2011
Her job keeps her busy, but that’s just how she likes it. She describes the constant work flow as a challenge, but one that she enjoys. In fact, “take initiative and get things accomplished” is not only a practice she follows herself, but her advice for fellow employees wishing to excel. She originates from Phoenix, AZ, holds an associate’s degree as a paralegal and is very close to completing her bachelor’s degree in business administration. Somehow she still finds time to scout yard sales and thrift stores, gathering “ribbon, beads and tchochkes” for her favorite hobby, scrapbooking, or to occasionally partake in a few guilty pleasures: cheese, chocolate and shopping! But her greatest love of all is her 8-year old daughter. Named after her great grandmother, Tricia loves sharing with her daughter all of the things that her namesake passed on to her. |

Unfortunately, we were unable to reach Imelda for an interview. Congratulations on your achievement.
For anyone who’s started a MCAGCC question with “how do I...” or “who do I...” Tamara Harrison in Information and Referral is a name you’ll want to remember. She says “I like to tell people my job is to get them connected to the right people.” She’s been doing just that for close to four years.
There are a lot of exciting “firsts” happening in the life of Dean Johnson, a Maintenance Worker at MCCS. Not only is this his first Employee of the Month award, but he’s been told that it’s the first time in 14 years that someone in the Maintenance Department has received the title.
Tricia has been with MCCS for three years, first in the women’s department of the Main Store, then transferring to her current position as a credit card technician in the Finance Department.
