.:Summary of Duties:.

Serves as an instructor responsible for the direct delivery of training programs in a business environment.   Responsible for designing new, or revising current courses and developing performance measures to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the MCCS training program.  Researches, plans and develops course materials that are technically and procedurally sound and in accordance with prescribed course framework such as; study guides, visual aids, simulations, written tests, training aids, and course outlines.  Organizes, illustrates, interprets and adapts instructional material as required to reach and motivate employees. 
Incumbent is responsible for registering employees into scheduled training classes in the PeopleSoft database and tracking the number of enrollments. Maintains employee training records in compliance with the Privacy Act. Establishes and maintains office files, revises and disposes of files in accordance with governing procedures.
Will coordinate the training program with other MCCS personnel.  May be required to research outside sources and obtain information, materials and costs to meet instructional needs.
Participates in special projects such as pilot programs, process improvement teams, focus groups and working groups.
Responds to employee requests for information related to the tuition assistance program, assist in filling out the forms correctly, and tracking usage.
Prepares  training certificates, Length of Service and Employee of the Month awards.
Supports required data collection. Prepares reports and maintains data collection system and forms. 
Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on courtesy.  Assists customers and communicates positively in a friendly manner.  Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact.  Asks questions to determine, verify and solve problems.  Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services.  Takes action to solve problems quickly.  Alerts the higher level supervisor, or proper point of contact for help when problems arise.  Adheres to safety regulations and standards.  Uses required safety equipment, and observes safe work procedures.  Promptly reports any observed workplace hazards, and any injury, occupational illness, and/or property damage resulting from workplace mishaps to the immediate supervisor. Adheres to established standards of actively supporting the principles of the EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment.  Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:  Must have a minimum of three years experience in employee instruction and curriculum development in a training department.  A degree from an accredited college/university in a related field may be substituted for two years experience.  Practical knowledge of a wide range of training methods, techniques, and tools used to resolve instructional problems.  Able to manage a variety of normal classroom situations.  Must be able to independently plan and conduct training sessions within prescribed course framework. Must have ability to deal with issues associated with military lifestyles and a willingness to learn.  Experience in developing management and supervisory curricula desired.  Computer skills a must with working knowledge in Power Point.  This is a white-collar position where occasional lifting up to 20 lbs may be required.
